Dr Milan Gazdić, direktor Agecije za zaštitu životne sredine, dr Dušan Bugarin, generalni direktora Direktorata za ekologiju u Ministarstvu ekologije, prostornog planiranja i urbanizma, i predstavnici agencije Aleksandar Božović i Marko Radović službeno su posjetili Pomorski fakultet Kotor Univerziteta Crne Gore. Povod sastanka bio je razmatranje tekućih aktivnosti u sklopu zajedničkog međunarodnog projekta „Development of Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection and Management (MEP&M)“ koji je počeo sa realizacijom 15.01.2021. godine. Projekat se finansira iz sredstava Izvršne agencije za edukaciju, audiovizuelnu politiku i kulturu Evropske unije (EACEA) u okviru ključne akcije KA2 – Saradnja za inovacije i razmjenu dobre prakse – izgradnja kapaciteta u visokom obrazovanju.
Tokom radnog sastanka predstavnici Pomorskog fakulteta Kotor prezentovali su postojeće infrastrukturne kapacitete, brodske simulatore, laboratorijsku i drugu sofisticiranu opremu koja se koristi u naučne i istraživačke svrhe u okviru Centra za istraživanja, inovacije i preduzetništvo na Fakultetu. Takođe, predstavljeni su prethodni i trenutni bilateralni i međunarodni projekti i postignuti rezultati.
Kroz otvoreni dijalog razmotreno je nekoliko pravaca buduće saradnje između Agencije za zaštitu životne sredine i Pomorskog fakulteta Kotor na polju zaštite morske životne sredine, istraživanja priobalja, mora i podmorja, kao i spremnost Ministarstva da se aktivno uključi u postojeće aktivnosti i eventualno podrži svaku novu inicijativu. Potvrđen je značaj ove saradnje kako u smislu postizanja opipljivih rezultata u implementaciji Okvirne direktive o morskoj strategiji (MSFD) i Zakona o zaštiti morske sredine u okviru poglavlja 27 – životna sredina i klimatske promjene, tako i spremnosti partnera za postizanje ambicioznih ciljeva iz European Green Deal i Zelene Agende za Zapadni Balkan.
U narednom periodu očekuje se aktivnije učešće predstavnika Agencije, članova MEP&M projektog tima, u organizaciji razvojnih aktivnosti vezanih za akreditaciju zajedničkog interdisciplinarnog master progama na engleskom jeziku. Pored toga, predstavnici obije institucije učestvuju u pripremi prijedloga novog projekta koji se odnosi na smanjenje emisije ugljenika (dekarbonizaciji) u pomorskom transportu i logistici nadajući se još jednom zajedničkom uspjehu.
Visit to the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor concerning the implementation of the joint ERASMUS+ CBHE project “Development of Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection and Management (MEP&M)”
Milan Gazdić PhD, Director of the Agency for Environmental Protection, Dušan Bugarin PhD, Director General at the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism. and EPA’s representatives Aleksandar Božović and Marko Radović have made an official visit to the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor, University of Montenegro. The reason for the meeting was a review of current activities within the joint international project “Development of the Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection and Management (MEP & M)” which is being implemented since 15 January 2021. The project is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) within the key action KA2 – Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practice – capacity building in higher education.
In the course of the working meeting, representatives of the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor presented the existing institutional capacities in terms of infrastructure, ship simulators, laboratory and other sophisticated equipment used for scientific and research purposes within the Center for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty. Also, previous and current bilateral and international projects were presented along with the results achieved.
An open dialogue considered several directions of future cooperation between the Environmental Protection Agency and the Kotor Maritime Faculty in the field of marine environment protection, coastal, sea and submarine research, as well as the Ministry’s readiness to participate actively in the ongoing activities and support possible initiatives in future. The importance of this cooperation was acknowledged not only in terms of achieving tangible results in the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (IFRS) and the Law on Marine Protection within Chapter 27 – Environment and Climate Change, but also in partners’ readiness to achieve ambitious goals stipulated in the European Green Deal and Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
In the upcoming period, more active participation of the EPA’s representatives, members of the MEP&M project team, is expected in the organization of development activities related to the accreditation of the joint interdisciplinary master’s program in English. In addition, representatives of both institutions have participated in the preparation of a proposal for a new project related to the reduction of carbon emissions (decarbonization) in maritime transport and logistics, hoping for another joint success.
