Podgorica, 23.10.2020. god. – Danas je u Podgorici potpisan Memorandum o razumijevanju između Agencije za zaštitu prirode i životne sredine Crne Gore i Evropske agencije za životnu sredinu (u daljem tekstu: EEA) na obostranu inicijativu. Memorandum su potpisali direktor crnogorske Agencije Nikola Medenica i izvršni direktor EEA Hans Bruyninckx, a potpisivanju je prisustvovala i generalna direktorica Direktorata za životnu sredinu, gđa Ivana Vojinović, Nacionalna fokalna tačka za saradnju sa EEA, gđa Lidija Šćepanović, Nacionalni referentni centar za komunikacije sa EEA, gđa Milena Bataković i asistent Nacionalne fokalne tačke za saradnju sa EEA, gđa Mina Mijanović. Potpisivanju je predhodilo usvajanje Informacije o potpisivanju Memoranduma o razumijevanju sa Evropskom agencijom za životnu sredinu od strane Vlade Crne Gore.
Memorandum je potpisan u cilju daljeg jačanja dugogodišnje saradnje sa Evropskom agencijom za životnu sredinu, kroz veći stepen koordinacije aktivnosti u oblasti monitoringa i izvještavanja o životnoj sredini. Dalja saradnja će se prije svega fokusirati na: povećani angažman Crne Gore u aktivnostima EEA u cilju dostizanja „tehničke spremnosti“ za članstvo u EEA; postepeno povećanje nivoa izvještavanja ka EEA kako bi se dostigla usklađenost sa članicama EEA i jačanje saradnje sa Eionet mrežom (Evropskom mrežom za informisanje i osmatranje životne sredine) na nacionalnom nivou; kontinuirane aktivnosti izgradnje kapaciteta u odgovarajućim tematskim oblastima; kontinuiranu razmjenu iskustava i praksi u okviru Eionet mreže, kao i u širem panevropskom kontekstu; i povećanje vidljivosti učešća zemalja Zapadnog Balkana i Crne Gore u Eionet mreži.
Potpisivanje Memoranduma o razumijevanju predstavlja dobrovoljan okvir jačanja saradnje kojim se dodatno unaprijeđuje odnos dvije agencije, i potvrđuje nedvosmislena podrška koju Evropska unija pruža evropskoj perspektivi Crne Gore.
Podsjećamo da saradnja sa EEA traje već 12 godina u oblasti koja je od velikog značaja za evropski put Crne Gore, a koju pokriva poglavlje 27. Agencija za zaštitu prirode i životne sredine Crne Gore će kroz potpisani Memorandum dobiti značajnu podršku Evropske agencije za životnu sredinu prije svega putem jačanja kapaciteta za izvještavanje kroz obuke nacionalne mreže referentnih centara.
Nature and Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro signed a Memoranda of Understanding with the European Environment Agency
Podgorica, 23 October 2020 – Today in Podgorica Nature and Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro has concluded the singniture of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the European Environment Agency (herinafter: EEA). Memoranda was signed by the director of Montenegrin Agency Nikola Medenica and the EEA Executive Director Hans Bruyninckx, and the signing was also attended by the Director General of the Directorate for the Environment, Ivana Vojinovic, NFP Lidija Scepanovic, NRC for Communication Milena Batakovic, and NFP Assistant Mina Mijanovic. The signing was preceded by the adoption of the Information on signiture of Memoranda of Understanding with the EEA by the Government of Montenegro.
MoU was signed in order to enhence the longstanding cooperation with the European Environment Agency, through a greater degree of coordination of activities in the field of the environment monitoring and reporting. Further cooperation will primarly focus on: increase involvement of Montenegro in the EEA activities in order to achieve “technical readiness“ for the EEA membership; gradually increase level of reporting to the EEA in order to achieve comliance with EEA members and strengthen cooperation with the Eionet network (European Environment mrežom za Information and Observation Network) at the national level; continuous capacity building activities in relevant thematic areas; continuous exchange of experiences and practices within the Eionet network, as well as in the wider pan-European context; including the increasing of visibility of the participation of Western Balkan partners and Montenegro in the Eionet network.
Signiture of Memoranda of Understanding is a volontary framework for strenghtening cooperation which further improves the relationship between these two agencies, and confirms the unambiguous support that the European Union provides to the European perspective of Montenegro.
We remind you that cooperation with the EEA has lasted for 12 years within the area of great importance for Montenegro’s European path, covered by Chapter 27. Throughout this Memoranda of Understanding the Nature and Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro will get a significant support from the EEA by strengthening the reporting capacity through the trainings of national reference centers network.
