Air

   Air as one of the most significant factors of the environment with its complex composition and characteristics requires professional monitoring and analysis. This implies a good knowledge of the physical and chemical characteristics of air and meteorological impacts. A team of experts examine the data, draft reports and follow the implementation of the monitoring program with the application of existing legislation. 
 
In the Sector for the monitoring, analysis and reporting, Department of air follows the following thematic groups:
 
- Air Quality
- Climate change
- Noise
 
The objective of monitoring air and noise
 
Monitoring is carried out in order to obtain reliable and quality information on the status of air quality and noise levels in the environment in Montenegro. The data represent the basis on which to define adequate mechanisms for improvement of air quality in the environment. Based on data obtained by monitoring the noise, the policy of environmental protection and of the citizens from the noise is more precisely defined.

- Development of the programme of air quality monitoring in Montenegro
- Monitoring, analysis and reporting on the state of air,
- Monitoring, analysis and reporting from the field of noise,
- Monitoring of change in climatic factors,
- Participation in drafting the Report on the state of the environment,
- Participation in drafting the National list of indicators
- Cooperation with bodies of state administration, municipalities, legal persons with public authorities, international bodies, institutions and institutions in designing and implementing projects and programmes of environmental protection,
- Participation in the implementation of international treaties and agreements in the areas of environmental protection whose one of parties is Montenegro itself, in the part that relates to the reporting  based on commitments,
- Participation in projects and programmes in the field of environmental protection to be conducted on the basis of international agreements.
